Anantara Resort & Spa Sanya is set to become one of Asia’s finest resorts. Anantara Hotels & Resorts is a luxury international hotel company with award winning resorts in many exotic locations around the world. The resort is an exclusive 122 room hotel including 21 luxurious villas, set on the beach front of one of Sanya’s most secluded areas.
We are looking for a creative, quality driven and experienced Executive Chef to join the pre opening team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join and grow with one of the world most exclusive hotel companies.
As Executive Chef you are fully responsible for developing the reputation of the hotel through the production of excellent quality food throughout the hotel, and the development of a high quality kitchen team.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Creating menus that meet and exceed customer's needs and conform to brand standards, with a Luxury Thai experience in mind.
• Will be in charge of the resorts culinary experience (1 All Day Dining Restaurant -125 covers, 1 Thai Restaurant 134 covers, Beach BBQ -24 covers, Staff Restaurant 200 covers, Banquets 200 covers, in Villa Dining and all amenities programs
• Ensuring the consistent production of high quality food through all hotel food outlets
• Developing customer relations through proactive interaction with guests or dealing with any issues raised
• Effective management of the department including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and hygiene and waste management
• Excellent leadership of the kitchen brigade, including ensuring ongoing development of team members, and putting in place an effective approach to succession planning
The successful applicant will have:
• At least 3 years previous relevant experience as an Executive Chef . Experience in China an advantage.
• Must have creative knowledge of Thai cuisine.
• English speaking, Mandarin an advantage
• Able to lead efficiently a team of 50 Team members (including 14 stewarding)
• Excellent leadership skills
• A creative approach to the production of high quality food
• Proven financial understanding of a business
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to build relationships
