VILLA CASTANEA: VIP Chef
Villa Castanea, in Beijing’s Haidian District is a newly opened Western Fine Dining restaurant. It is located close to the famous Summer Palace, the Fragrant Hills and the Jade springs. As the biggest park Restaurant in Beijing, Villa Castanea offers exclusive food experience and home brewed German beers to our esteemed customers.
VIP Chef
Should be responsible for food cost control for VIP Kitchen, purchasing or support purchasing of all relevant ingredients and items necessary as well as the food pricing in accordance with the Management requirements.
Should be in charge for a smooth kitchen operation, the food production and hygiene in accordance to the relevant hygiene regulations.
Should serve the supervisor and disciplinary superior for related kitchen staff and agrees to train related staff to fulfill the necessary requirements, food safety and hygiene.
Should supervise and control all kitchen equipment and will ensure a proper, safe and careful handling of equipment within his area of responsibility.
Menu preparation and stuff training mainly for the “VIP guests”. Creation of new menus. Meanwhile suggestion to the “executive Chef” and support for the menus & buffets in the restaurant area.
Should have minimum 5 to 10 years cooking experience in fine dining restaurants or luxury hotels and has the experiences of reception of “VIP guests”.
Prepare food according to the order specification (Banquet Event Order and POS checks) and according to the standard recipe. Should be able to read menus and orders to estimate proper quantity of food preparation
Should be passionate about food and an excellent technician, proficient in various styles of cuisines (French, German, Mediterranean, Scandinavian …)
A good level of spoken and written English is minimum requirement.
Should have and maintain a professional appearance for our Fine Dining Restaurant
Should be a team player and enjoy working on and with teams
Outstanding sense of taste and food presentation
Banqueting experience
Pastry and baking experience is not required would be an asset.
Culinary degree a plus
Proactive approach when interacting with guest, co-worker or vendor
Strong technical and knife skills
