Our client, Mono Pumps, is a global leader in the design and manufacture of progressing cavity pumps and related equipment.  With major customer in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, America, China, Argentina and Canada, this international company is supported by a network of more than 700 distributors throughout the world.  They have set new standards on product launch and in order to develop profitable sales across Asia within key industry sectors, they now have a vacancy for an Export Sales Manager, who will be based in Shanghai.

A key part of this role is to look for, secure and manage key projects in the region through direct sales involvement as well as identify new projects where Mono products can be included in the scope of supply. You will find new routes to market to improve our presence in the region and have responsibility for identifying and evaluating other potential partners for Mono, carrying out relevant training to both customers and distributor partners.

 You will also manage the existing distributor partners to maximise sales and explore new distributor opportunities in new geographic areas. You will promote Mono products through relevant channels including exhibitions, advertising and seminars and liaise with other Mono colleagues both in China, Australia and UK and elsewhere together with the NOV personnel in Shanghai.

 You must have had experience in a mechanical or process engineering background and fluid handling experience gained within a similar environment would be a distinct advantage. Sales ability in the manufacturing industry is a must and you will need to be enthusiastic, driven, hard working and be willing to travel extensively in the region. Prior involvement of working within Asia would be an advantage as well as the ability to work within different cultures across the region. You must be fluent in the English language although Japanese/Chinese would also be a benefit.
