Sales and Marketing Assistant - Maine Tourism Association - Hallowell, ME

The Maine Tourism Association, located in Hallowell, ME is currently seeking a full-time Sales and Marketing Assistant. MTA is a membership-based organization who represents the interests of over 1,500 businesses across the state.

The position of sales and marketing assistant consists of supporting all sales and marketing strategies and functions. It also focuses on planning and market research to develop strategies that support the sales and marketing operations efficiently.

General Duties:

• Assist in contracting and develop monthly budget analysis and prepare monthly sales activity reports.


• Assist in writing and editing sales and marketing materials, which include articles, presentations, and other collateral.


• Complete sales-related and marketing administrative projects that include running marketing and sales reports, conducting research on company and other assignments in database.


• Work with vendors on facilitating our print projects.


• Implementing and monitoring social media strategies.


• Generate mailings to prospective customers.


• Prepare market analysis through evaluating new market prospects.


• Assist sales and marketing staff as necessary at any phase of sales plus marketing efforts.


• Provide assistance with telephone coverage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing or related field preferred


• Excellent organizational skills


• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills


• Ability to juggle multiple projects and to prioritize


• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment


• Strong MS office skills.


• Proficiency in design programs like InDesign, Quark or other design software is preferred.
