Our client is one of the world’s largest Wines and Spirits Company. China is a significant market for them. Currently, we are seeking a legal manager to provide general legal advice to its China operation. The legal Manager will report to GM directly and lead a team with 2 counsel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as legal manager, you will directly report to GM in China, Provide general legal advice to its China operations to ensure the operations are consistent with corporate policies and procedures. For the dairy work, you need to review, draft and negotiate business contracts including international cooperation, distribution, sales, consulting, hyper, e-commerce, IT, logistics, supply chain, and vendor contracts. Assist in negotiations to resolve contract disputes with third parties and manage outside counsel budget for Greater China.

Desired Skills and Experience:

To consider this role, you will ideally have graduated with a Law degree with license to practice law in PRC, a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience gained from large multinational corporations is required, ideally within the FMCG and retail sector. LLM from a U.S. law school in addition to a Chinese law degree is a plus. You are supposed to have strong experience in negotiating complex contracts .Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential. Has experienced with actual litigation cases is preferred.
