An Early Years Teacher is required for an ‘A-grade’ British International School located in Shanghai, for an August 2016 start.

School overview: This top level international school is part of a family of UK curriculum schools and combines over 400 years of educational excellence with a modern approach and first-rate facilities. The Shanghai school will be opening its doors in August 2016 and will be a day and boarding school for students aged 2-18. Students will be expected to be fully involved and achieve their best in academic studies, extra-curricular activities and House events. The curriculum of Early Years will be based on the EYFS curriculum while Pre-Prep will be based on the National Curriculum of England with flavours of the International Primary Curriculum evident.

Package: Salary dependent on experience and responsibility, but starts at approximately 25,000RMB per month; Accommodation provided; 10% bonus at the end of the contract; Return flights for the teacher after one year; Return flights for the family at the beginning and end of the contract; Health cover for teacher and accompanying dependents

Requirements: The school is looking for high-calibre professionals to work with a first class team of educators, the ability to work in a new school environment and be a team player is essential. Applicants must have at least 2 years of teaching experience and UK curriculum experience is preferred although they will happily accept applications from experienced teachers without UK experience. As there is a strong emphasis in the other phases of the school to activities outside of the classroom, there is an expectation that all teachers make an effective and varied contribution to the extra-curricular programme
