We have an immediate opening for a Cord Blood Educator to educate pregnant families about stem cell processing and storage and increase domestic enrollments.

This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm schedule, with possible Saturday rotation for one week day).

Responsibilities include:
Work with sales team to increase FamilyCord domestic enrollments
Achieve measurable increase in domestic enrollments related to inside sales activities including but not limited to telephone calls, client information packets, and provider (doctor) boxes
Engage clients and coworkers in a respectful and courteous manner at all times; contribute to a positive work environment that is focused on TEAM and individual achievement
Achieve individual call metrics with emphasis on making outbound calls (outreach program) to potential and existing clients as well as handling inbound sales calls as a result of marketing programs
Achieve monthly enrollment goals for stem cell clients
Maintain client and provider files information in the database; update data in their region as necessary
Act as the single-point-of-contact for clients, physician offices and educators to build/maintains relationships; write thank-you notes when appropriate
Increase awareness of FamilyCord stem cell services to clients, physicians, hospital staff, and childbirth educators; send out brochures and kits to the physicians, hospitals and educators in their assigned region; manage office mailing frequency (brochures) that is determined by the sales potential for the account
Maintain average Enrollment-to-Processed ratio greater than 90%; support 24/7 emergency on-call system by carrying the FamilyCord cell phone on weekdays and weekends based on a rotation schedule
Coordinate with stem cell laboratory to ensure timely shipping, testing and processing; investigate and resolve any quality/compliance issues related to the client stem cell charts
Facilitate financial invoicing by accurately completing the billing summary sheets; answer client questions about their bills or outstanding balances; participate in the storage contract renewal process by calling clients to ensure all client information is up-to-date in the system(s)
Participate in consumer shows/events with the FamilyCord team; work closely with marketing to ensure that all events run smoothly and stay within approved budget limits

Other duties and projects as required Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related sales experience and/or training
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel and ability to learn custom FamilyCord systems such as Microsoft NAV, FileMaker and others as needed
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to maintain confidentiality
Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to attend trade show events (Sat/Sun) as needed

Covered California Plan Based Enrollment Counselors - Chinese Community Health Plan - San Francisco, CA

The Plan Based Enrollment Counselors help enroll new or exisitng members for renewal into the Covered California Program. The PBE's educates customers on how the health care system is organized, what services are available to them and provides enrollment referrals or assistance to public or private health/social services. The PBE's also serves as the Certified Application Assistor. The PBE's transitions to ongoing administration of the terms in the agreements with Covered California and facilitates annual renewals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ability to understand and explain to customers how health care is delivered in the community.
2 Train Certified Enrollment Counselor trainees to prepare for qualification for Covered
California certification
3. Provides strong customer service and support to potential clients,
4. Receive and handle inquiries by telephone, mail, and in person assistance for enrollment into
the Covered California program
5. Pre-screening and assist applicants for the program eligibility determination and enrollment
6. Develop and maintain program policies and procedures for handling Covered California prospective, enrolled, and renewing customers.
7. Compile and report information on customer feedback and program effectiveness
8. Produce regular reports and data submissions as required by Covered California and Healthy
San Francisco programs
9. Maintain and enhance relationship with Covered California and Healthy San Francisco programs
10. Coordinate with other team members as needed to assist customers
11. Provide language assistance to people with limited English proficiency to help in patient
navigation (e.g. making doctor appointments, interpreting for physician offices, etc.)
12. Accepts and performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree preferredTwo years customer service or enrollment assistance experience; prior managed care experience preferred.Previously Certified as a Certified Application Assistor, desirableResults and detail oriented self-starterMust achieve and maintain HSF One-e-Application process certificationMust Be Certified as an Enrollment Counselor Certification status within 2 weeks of hirePassionate about helping resolve customer health care system access issuesExcellent oral communication, customer service and organizational skillsFluent and literate in English and Cantonese or Mandarin or Spanish desirable
