EAL Co-ordinator – Beijing August 2016

ITN Mark International are working with a large education group who are inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced EAL specialists for this important post, which is available from August 2016.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within this start up school in Beijing. The school which will open in a high end development in 2016 will offer the Chinese curriculum up to year 9 and then IGCSE and IBDIP.

The school will be one of the premier schools in Beijing and will join a large group of schools across Hong Kong and China who provide a rounded education that combines the essence of the Eastern and Western cultures on an international level

We are looking for a well qualified and experienced EAL Co-ordinator to take a dynamic approach to leading this department. You will ideally have experience of reviewing primary curriculum from an EAL perspective and implementing initiatives to support EAL. You will also need to be able to deliver immersion classes where needed. You be supported by a large senior leadership team who operate across whole group.

* Appropriate UK teaching qualifications, Degree plus PGCE, B.Ed., etc
* Evidence of a strong commitment to high academic standards
* Experience of and commitment to the wellbeing and pastoral care of children
* Commitment to the school’s policies and procedures for safeguarding students
* Excellent inter-personal, communication, organisational and IT skills
* The ability to inspire others and lead by example, statement, in all dealings with students, teachers, parents and our wider community
* Willingness to work the hours needed to achieve success in the post.
