SAP MM Consultant/ABAP/PP/ Supply Chain Consultant/ Manufacturing

Our client based in Shanghai is looking for an experienced SAP MM consultant to join them on a permanent basis. This a fantastic opportunity to work for a well known global manufacturing company. The ideal Consultant will be able to speak English and Chinese and must be a citizen of China.

Provide SAP Supply Chain Management application support for Harmonized Application Excellence (SHAPE) SAP users globally, including:
– Resolving incidents and problems
– Implementing enhancements
– Failure testing and bug fixes
– Ensuring data quality and consistency
– Monitoring business processes
– Coordinate between local and global teams

* Work individually and/or as a member of a Resolution Group to solve Supply Chain and other SAP-related tickets (incidents and problems) escalated by the SAP Helpdesk on behalf of key users, including:
o Receive and log requests for change, and prepare, implement and review changes
o Determine the root cause of the incidents, correct known errors and prevent future problems

* Ensure efficient operation in terms of availability, security and performance

* Implement enhancements (e.g. using OSS notes information)

* Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information (including escalation of issues and risks)

* Develop systems requirements, design and prototype, test and define support procedures as part of providing users with practical business solutions using SAP system (in line with systems strategy)

* Collaborate with other IT Support specialists around the globe to make possible ‘Extended 5×24 application support.

* Follow and provide inputs to help develop best-practice processes in IT application support in line with the performance goals of the application support team and of the IT development centre overall.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in SAP and minimum 3 full cycle projects.

Strong at SAP modules MM and PP.

Good knowledge in ABAP.

Knowhow in variant configuration, interface, ALE and workflow.

Work experience in a multi-national environment.

Chinese; Good English language skills (both written and spoken)
