Electrical Controls Project Engineer – Automation – China

Lead Engineer in the Controls and Drives function, you will be part of SE Asia Team

Based in China (East China, Anhui, Shanghai) but also working in various plants located in SE Asia

Senior Project Engineer/ Project Manager role – using mostly Siemens PLC Automation

Exciting opportunity to join a giant company global manufacture and help spec and implement electrical controls, automation and drives

Working with a team of leading engineers globally your role will involve:

·Development and implementation of electrical control, automation and drive concepts including IT-interfaces for all production machinery in manufacturing

·Creation of machine specifications and leading of technical negotiations with suppliers

·Develop and implement “Value Engineered” concepts and technical improvements

·Develop supplier together with purchasing investments

·Check and give recommendation for plant investment

Essential to have:

Engineering degree: electrical, electronic

PLC Automation , Controls

Project Engineering experience – possibly some Project Management

Excellent communication skills & fluent in English

Commercial Engineering experience is required in industry – eg energy, aerospace, Oil &Gas, military, or automotive industry.

Working with specialist automation engineers and also suppliers of control systems, you will influence engineers internationally, driving through greener technologies. As well as manufacturing, you will be responsible for solving challenging control and automation problems.

Position based in China. With international travel. Mostly within South East Asia (India, Malaysia, Vietnam)
