A brand new school opening this summer in beautiful Foshan, not far from Hong Kong is in search of fully qualified Early Years, Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers. The school belongs to a reputable chain of schools who follow the International Baccalaureate with campuses in dozens of countries.

Package: Salary dependent on experience and qualifications and will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Income tax on salary to be paid by teacher (typically is between 10% and 15%). Salary is inclusive of overseas cost of living. School Vision / Ethos: This school opens on 1st Sep 2016. It will be an International School from K-12 school running an IB (International Baccaleaurate) inspired curriculum, catered to foreign children (non mainland-Chinese). The campus is located in the Nanhai District in Foshan City in the Guangdong province of Southern China. The campus spans 40,000 sqm with 25,000 sqm of built-in space. Facilities include a swimming pool, a library offering the largest number of English children’s books in Foshan, an indoor gym and basketball court, outdoor track and soccer field, specialist arts studios, 62 classrooms and dormitories that can house 120 students. The Pre-School and Elementary curriculum is inspired by the child-focused IB approach to learning via exploration and investigation of themes. The IB approach aims to develop students through dynamic cycles of inquiry, action and reflection. As students progress to middle school and high school, they will be exposed to the academically rigorous iGCSE curriculum and graduate with the iGCSE certification.

Requirements: Applicants must have a Bachelor of Education, PGCE or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience – subject specific teachers must have 5 years of general experience. Experience of IB PYP or UK curriculum is highly valued, as is previous international experience in Asia. The school will hire single teachers, couples and families and gives full tuition for couples with children.
