We are seeking an innovative, experienced and results-oriented Sr. Architect, IP Planning.

Responsibilities:
Perform research in IP planning simulation software architecture; design and develop software architecture technical projects.

Guide the team to productize technical projects and share working experiences among the team members.

Qualifications:
Familiar with the architecture and algorithm design of one or more mainstream network planning simulation systems, e.g. OPNET, Cariden, and WANDL, etc.
Familiar with the architecture and key components of industrial planning and simulation technologies, as well as experienced with network planning and simulation of large scales and have a thorough understanding of the key capabilities and requirements for network planning in general.
Proficient in network protocols and technologies, e.g. IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS-TE, VPN, etc. You are familiar with key graph algorithms, such as spanning trees, CSPF, etc., and queuing theory. You are good at steady-state and discrete event simulation schemes for networks. You also understand network traffic collection and prediction algorithms.
Familiar with SDN/NFV technologies and standards, such as OpenStack, and proficient in traffic engineering and deployment methods.
Well trained and have hands-on experience in designing software architectures, with experience in distributed computing systems, such as MapReduce and Hadoop or similar systems.
Capable of clarifying system requirements with stakeholders with ideas or inputs that may not be well defined at the beginning, as well as taking the initial inputs and develop prototypes independently and effectively.
Must be able to take short business trips to China and work with various teams.
Fluency in Chinese is a plus.

Position Description
Technologic Lead/Coordinator Roles

ü Lead and coordinate across teams of Infrastructure to make appropriate decision on technology/architecture selection;
ü Lead strategic review of infrastructure architecture annually;
ü Drive infrastructure architecture projects through the full lifecycle starting with requirements analysis, through technical design, pilots and rollouts;
ü Identify infrastructure challenges in projects under development as well as existing projects and provide solutions for solving them;
ü Set up and maintain the standards, references and run-book for Infrastructure Architecture;
ü Evaluate and select infrastructure components as required;
ü Optimize existing infrastructure architecture;
ü Work closely with Enterprise Architecture team.

Advisor/Consultant Roles

ü Advise the senior management on technology trends and industrial best practices;
ü Support infrastructure projects by providing architect insight;
ü Provide professional opinions in important bidding process;
ü Monitor trends and best practices in infrastructure.

Trainer Roles

ü Organize training of infrastructure architecture for the department
ü Share architect’s vision with high potential employees Position Requirements
Background and Experience

ü Minimum 10 years work experience as IT Infrastructure specialist/ consultant with facilitating, requirement analysis, conceptual design and planning skills especially in medium or large size distributed enterprise environment, 3+ years of architect experience is needed
ü Analysis, planning, designing and implementation of complex technology architecture encompassing servers, user computers, security, networks and storage solutions;
ü Highly knowledgeable on cloud based technologies;
ü Strong understanding and experience supporting LANs, WANs, WLANs in an environment with multiple sites.
ü Strong oral and written communication skills – capable to convince people by explaining technical complexity with simple words;
ü Speak and write fluently in English.
