Legal Executive Assistant Job (Shanghai, ShangHai, China)

Essential Responsibilities: - Perform a wide variety of administrative support activities, which require the handling of business-sensitive and confidential information
- Develop presentations, agendas, correspondence and memoranda for a variety of internal and external executive populations and create executive level charts, reports, and correspondence using the Microsoft toolkit
- Responsible for the establishment of meeting and agenda priorities, travel schedules and staff meetings and events within a very dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Work with external customers on meeting agendas and events planning
- Provide leadership and direction to executive administrators on staff
- Review and respond to emails and phone calls from other key management personnel across GE as required, using discretion and judgment in gathering and conveying pertinent information in a timely manner
- Interface with Corporate GE, governmental agencies, media and community leaders
- Responsible for maintaining the office procedures manual
- Supervise purchase of office administrative supplies
- Support legal and compliance team at task basis
- Provide documentation of procedures for administrative staff.
- Support legal files documentation, external legal spend invoicing handling, legal entity management and other matters as may be required by the General Counsel

Bilingual Legal Assistant (English & Chinese) - The Law Offices of Derek D Lim - Fremont, CA

Our firm is located in downtown Fremont, specializing in personal injury and immigration cases. We are seeking to fill a position to perform both administrative and substantive duties.

As a large majority of our clientele speaks Chinese, candidates must be bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese preferred. conversational level is sufficient). The candidate must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who takes initiative, is detail oriented and organized, and has the ability to manage multiple priorities. We prefer someone who has prior law firm work experience in handling personal injury cases and posses good legal writing skills. However, training is available for candidates who do not have experience. Candidates must also be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities include tasks such as: handling phone calls, scheduling, processing mail, drafting legal documents, corresponding with clients, opposing counsel and insurance companies, some limited legal research, and preparing documents for demands, depositions, mediation and court hearings.
