ACCESS CENTER ASSOCIATE - Sebasticook Valley Hospital - Pittsfield, ME

This position is responsible for all facets of patient access to SVH services to include pre-registration, central scheduling, referrals and prior authorizations while providing a high level of customer service to our patients and community.

Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent, Post-secondary preferred.

Appointment scheduling experience required.

Knowledge of medical terminology or completion of medical terminology course preferred. One year in a healthcare setting preferred; At least two years of customer service, insurance knowledge, computer skills, switchboard, or multi-phone system, skills preferred.


Physical Requirements

Repetitive motion daily; some pulling; some lifting up to 15 pounds; a lot of sitting throughout the day.


Working Environment

Close working conditions; exposure to blood/and or body fluids possible
