Maine CNA Job Summary
To provide direct quality patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and to participate in unit specific and hospital wide activities to promote staff development. Participate in the department specific strategic goals that assist with achievement’s of Sebasticook Valley Hospital’s Mission and Vision
Required
Current on State of Maine CNA Registry and in good standings-Graduate of an accredited program
High School Diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting and the ability to transfer and assist patients. The ability to work with, lift and set up equipment for patient use.
Normal visual activity and manual dexterity. Lifting and carrying of supplies up to 50 pounds unassisted, greater than 50 pounds with assistance and/or mechanical devises or other personnel. Stressfull situations and ability to organize and prioritize.
Working Environment
Body fluids, sharps, exposure to potentially infectious materials, working closely with others.
