!About Metaverse Makeovers (MM) 

!
Metaverse Makeovers (MM) is a fashion technology company designing, developing and commercialising augmented reality wearables and social mobile products.
!MM has designed and developed a world first product – Metaverse Nails – a wearable content distribution platform, and in-app shop to monetise augmented reality content.
!MM is an Australian registered company with entities in Hong Kong and Melbourne. MM is setting up a Wholly Foreign Operated Entity (WFOE) to support trading and commercialisation activities in Mainland China and internationally.
!

JOB SUMMARY
The Commercial Manager (CM) will work closely with the CEO to set up the WFOE business foundations for MM to operate and trade as a foreign tech brand in China, and internationally.
!Key responsibilities of the position will to work closely with focus on implementing and managing multi-channel and multi-platform marketing strategy for MM’s first ‘appcessory’ product – Metaverse Nails – fashion accessories that interact with a 3D social app.
!The CM will manage and successfully negotiate partnerships with identified O2O apps to grow MM’s Userbase, in-app returns, and the sale and distribution of MM’s fashion nails.
!The CM will be to build brand awareness for MM as a foreign company entering the China market; Tencent’s WeChat shop, and assist with the implementation of sales strategies to grow returns primarily via the WeChat platform.
!A key requirement of the CM are Mandarin and English language skills, both written and oral. Professional Experience and time spent living in Asia and or abroad working with tech start-ups a bonus. The CM will guide and navigate the complexities of commercialisation on the China market, and translate the nuances of China’s business landscape and mobile ecosystem across MM teams.
!The CM will recognise the importance of localising the market entry and commercialisation strategy to the China market – and use of resources must focus on delivery for Asia.
!CEO RELATIONSHIP

The CM reports directly to the CEO, and will work with the CEO to develop and implement the sales and marketing strategy and execution plan to support of the company’s mission. The CM will be required to exercise judgment in assessing the China market and foreign business practices to assist the CEO in setting company direction.
!LOCATION
Based in Shanghai. Position may see travel and business development in Beijing, Tianjin, Hong Kong, and Melbourne.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall Accountability
!• Work closely with the CEO and team in implementing marketing and sales strategies localised to the China market, with MM’s partners, and key online and offline channels.
• Work with MM teams and key management to drive the ongoing success of MM
• MM SHOPS Management. Storage, packaging, and distribution, and sale of goods across: MM SHOP; WeChat Shop; MM in-app shop.
• Store management and fulfilment: management of receipts, accounting, and ensuring MM goods are stored according to the company’s procurement policies and guidelines.
• Grow and liaise with sales teams to ensure the team meets the set sales and distribution targets.
• Accounting and bookkeeping.
• Pricing strategy, financial modelling and budgeting.
• Support CEO in managing MM brand and build up Sales and Digital marketing Campaigns, and drive and initiate
multi-platform user acquisition strategies, and viral marketing strategies to encourage in-app returns to meet
sales targets.
• Deliver on the commercialisation and marketing targets and milestones agreed with the CEO to meet financial
targets and maximise revenue. Measure performance metrics, reporting on results of campaigns, and making
recommendations.
• Support the operational requirements and regulatory compliance issues for operating as a foreign entity in
Mainland China.
• Business Partnership management and contract negotiations: Tencent WeChat; O2O apps; partnered retailers.
• Manage and liaise with manufacturing partners, contractors, and suppliers
• Procurement Management, and negotiation of best possible prices with suppliers, manufacturers and vendors.
Implement and define procurement policies and procedures.
• Inventory Management, monitoring the level of product stock, overseeing inventory, and preparation of budgets
to account for logistics, inventory and freight.
• Identify future capital requirements and present the necessary information to ultimately exploit the market
opportunity.

Short Term Priorities (0 – 3 months)


  1. WFOE and China market entry
    .!Finalise WFOE and business licenses to operate in Mainland China

  2. Set up WeChat Shop. Manage and drive partnership with Tencent.
    . Design and implement sales strategies via MM WeChat platform
    . Grow KOL network, followers and community
    . Work with Tencent, Online Payments to implement WeChat Wallet, QQ payment systems into the appcessory platform t!o increase sales and in-app revenue.

  3. Asia based business development
    . Close distribution partnerships with leading China based O2O apps
    . Target other O2Os and Beauty apps using existing partnerships as a distribution template in China and Asia. .!Trade Show attendance to identity distributors, marketing, and licensing partnerships

  4. Mobile Optimisation of MM’s commerce channels
    . Present recommendations and strategies for MM app optimisation, distribution, and enhancing the consumer / user experience for the China market.
    . Localise purchase engines across MM Shops and MM apps to successfully take orders in China and internationally .!Integrate digital currency and QQ coin into app platform to drive IAP on the China market

  5. Design and Implement online and offline marketing strategies
    . Creation of marketing materials across each MM market channels.
    . Implement processes and systems for MM team to roll out across product launches; marketing events, sales p!romotions, and campaigns.
    !Medium Term Priorities 3-6 Months

  6. Implement and drive user acquisition and sales strategies
    . Assist in implementation of WeChat marketing campaigns and promotional deals
    . Initiate WeChat Hong Bao to drive in-app sales and grow community
    . Recommendations for increasing revenue leveraging MM’s trading entities, MM’s WeChat platform and in-app shop. 


  7. O2O management
    . Structuring of partnership and contract negotiation between MM appcessory platform and O2Os.
    .!Support the expansion and distribution of MM Products across existing and newly identified O2O networks.

  8. Licensing of MM appcessory .API platform
    . Strategic recommendations for the integration of user-generated features.
    . Explore and develop royalties, licensing models, and licensing agreements for MM appcessory api.
    . Developing and initiating plan for licensing MM platform to 3rd party developers; media entertainment
    companies.
    . Recommendations, structuring, and contract negotiation of exclusive brand partnerships.
    . Initiate co-branded partnerships to expand exclusive and premium content in the MM app to drive user
    returns and in-app sales of the AR content.
    !# Identify future capital raising requirements to exploit market opportunities as outlined by the CEO and Board.
    !Salary Package
    !The Salary Package will be negotiated with the right candidate who qualifies for this position.
    MM has Employee stock options (ESOP) negotiable for the successful execution of MM’s commercialisation activities. 

    This is a Shanghai based position. MM seeks preferably a Chinese citizen, with experience living abroad.
    !The Commercial Manager is 6 Month contracted position, and will be extended based on meeting
