Design Manager – Mandarin Speaking – China

Do you have a Bachelor’s Degree in a construction related subject and experience in a Design Manager role as well as the ability to speak fluent Mandarin? Are you looking to relocate to China? Then you’re in luck, we’ve got the perfect role for you and it starts immediately with pay between £70,000 and £80,000 per annum plus package.

Our client, a leading construction company is looking for an experienced Design Manager to join the team in China.

With the site located in a busy residential and commercial area, easily accessible by road, tube and overground services, transport to-and-from work is extremely convenient. A wide range of supermarket and local restaurants can be found within walking distance, giving you plenty of options when considering where to lunch.

If you’d like to join and contribute to this dedicated, experienced and highly-motivated team then you must have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a construction related subject


• Previous experience in a Design Manager role


• Experience with modular build student accommodation and hotels


• The ability to speak Mandarin fluently

Responsibilities:

The Design Manager will liaise directly with the China Senior Project Manager to ensure design information is released on time to suit manufacturing schedules

The Design Manager will liaise directly with UK Design Managers for continued updates and progress reports relating to all projects as they progress through the various stages of design to achieve Design Freeze#

The primary function of the China DM is to achieve Design Freeze on all information (drawings, product data sheets, RFIs, schedules) to meet the client’s programme
