We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Director for a luxurious independent hotel in Wuhan, China.


Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Supervise staff of own department to carry out all human resources functions.


2. Assist General Manager in strategic planning on human resources to achieve company vision.


3. Give advice to line management and staff on all personnel and training related issues.


4. Prepare month-end reports on time for senior management and corporate office.


5. Ensure the Hotel is in compliance with all local Employment Ordinances as well as Group policies.


6. Conduct market survey and study to ensure our benefit and compensation package always stay competitive within the industry.


7. Prepare annual budget on employee relations, medical expense, insurance premium, staff meals, housing allowance, training & development and hire rate for General Manager’s approval.


8. Work closely with management to build up positive morale and loyalty among staff.


9. Focus on motivating staff by positive reinforcement, such as implement and monitor staff recognition programmes, constantly review staff benefits and welfare, and build up and monitor the reward system.


10. Supervise Training Manager / HR Mgr & EMS Mgr to conduct annual training needs survey and prepare yearly training plan according to the budget requirement to accommodate training needs.


11. Ensure all planned training programmes well facilitated and implemented.


12. Provide skills & knowledge training to enhance staff development.


13. Evaluate the results of all training activities and make suggestions to management.


14. Personally conduct training workshops or seminars to achieve training objectives.


15. Perform any other human resources related duties as assigned by the General Manager.


Requirements:


The successful person will be familiar with all aspects of HR - recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits, training and management development. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, enjoys leading from the front and being part of a winning team. Fluent in English and Mandarin is essential. Knowledge and experience gained within a 5 star hotel are required.
