We are working with a dynamic hospitality company who sells into hotels in a unique way. Due to their expansion, they are keen to recruit motivated, target driven, sales orientated people to up-sell with existing clients and develop new business.


The Business Development Director is responsible for executing all aspects of the Sales activities for the assigned geographical region.


This will include:


• Sales strategy


• Retention and development of existing accounts


• Maximising performance of revenue enhancement programmes (70%) and acquisition of new accounts (30%)


• Work closely with internal colleagues to ensure a beneficial partnership with hotels


We are looking for someone who is at DOS/DOSM/DBD level, with good analytical and numerical skills. Some operational background in front office/revenue management useful, but most of all, needs to be comfortable dealing with senior people at GM level. As the company's key point person in Asia they will need to work independently.


Experience/Qualities will include:


• DOS level experience in hotel or related industry


• Ideally hotel experience within five star hotels


• Good knowledge of sales, distribution channels, revenue and current market trends


• Strong relationship builder. Capable of relating well at all levels, including hotel reception/reservations staff, department heads, GM’s, and even CEO’s in some cases.


• Capable of developing own schedule based on company strategy.


• Must be fluent in Japanese
