Medical Records Assistant/Receptionist-Ellsworth job - Inland Hospital - Waterville, ME

Eastern Maine HomeCare has a great position for a medical records assistant/receptionist wanting to make a positive difference in someone’s life! You would be responsible for promoting and maintaining the integrity of the medical records. Utilizing critical thinking and problem solving skills will be important to promote continuous quality improvement in the areas of documentation, physician order management, and record storage, release, retrieval & destruction. You would also be responsible for coordinating the agency’s response to external requests for release of information in accordance with all State & Federal regulations. Additionally, you would be responsible for answering the telephone, greeting guests and managing the flow of phone calls within the organization. You must have a strong understanding of the organization and it’s functions and roles to ensure calls are transferred to the right person the first time.

A High School graduate or GED equivalency

Two years administrative or office management experience

Computer competency in MS Applications and evidence of effective communication skills, using verbal, written, and telephonic means

Current ME Drivers license

Reliable transportation and Agency required auto liability insurance
