Communication Center Attendant job - MaineGeneral Health - Augusta, ME





Operates the switchboard console PC, utilizing call answering software, by directing internal and external callers to the appropriate extension. Operates functions of the physician answering service. Monitors the life safety and environmental alarms, and announces codes as advised. Must be able to take on call responsibility as needed.

Qualifications/Competencies :


  • Minimum of 1 year of switchboard, office or customer service work preferred.

  • High school diploma/GED preferred.

  • Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications preferred.

  • Prior work related experience operating multi line telephone preferred.

  • Must possess good grammar and spelling skills.
