Community Manager



Mission


* Author news, announcements, blogs and articles on official website and forums to ensuring content is player-worthy and completed on time.
* Contribute ideas and undertake community contests, volunteer programs, Fansite programs, collegiate programs, offline events, convention presence, email campaigns and social media initiatives.
* Identify influential players, to build strong relationships with them and ensure they are well looked after.
* Work effectively with Marketing, Public Relations, Development, Customer Relations, and other external partners to create and coordinate messaging and promotional plans.
* Regular reports on community activity and concerns.


Skills


* English native speaker, excellent written and verbal communication skills. A second language in French or German is a plus.
* Possess a solid understanding and passion for new media, social networking and the latest community tools and techniques.
* Proficient in at least one commercial forum software and content management system, such as vBulletin, Discuz and Drupal.
* Passion for games and the ability to understand and empathize with the unique needs and passions of player community.
* Demonstrate a proven track record for managing community professionals as well as building communities focused around a game/brand.
