To strengthen the team in Shanghai, we are looking for a professionally and personally convincing Managing Director.


The Chinese subsidiary
The 100% subsidiary was established in 2006. The current turnover of about € 5 Million shall be increased considerably. Accordingly the number of 50 employees will also increase significantly.


The Position
We are looking for a Managing Director with entrepreneurial thinking, who can identify and seize opportunities in the market. Essentially important is experience in BtoB, E-commerce and mail-order catalogue business. It is essential, that the candidate has knowledge of marketing instruments and experience in practically working with them as well as in Sales.
The job offers plenty of room to maneuver, which should be used creatively with the aim of increasing the turnover. The parent company desires to find a European with many years´ experience in China or a Chinese with experience in European companies.


The Tasks
Penetration and development of the Chinese market for business equipment in BtoB
Development and implementation of marketing strategies
Segmentation by both location and customers based on market share potentials
Maintenance of existing customer contacts
Identification of new customer potential
Budget monitoring and ensuring the achievement of objectives
Management of the Sales Department
Development of the organizational structure of the sales teams
Management of the sales teams through “Management by Objectives”
Reporting, Variance-Analysis and Focus on Business Performance
Holding employee and target agreement talks
Ensuring regular training for all employees to further development and qualification


Requirements:
University degree or equivalent qualification
Business English required; Basic conversational Chinese language skills advantageous
Experience in BtoB, E-commerce and mail-order catalogue business is a must
In-depth marketing knowledge is essential
Sales experience
Several years of management experience in China, ideally as CEO
Reporting experience in European Group
Entrepreneurial thinking and strong analytical and strategic skills
All-rounder with experience in various operational positions
Cross-departmental and solution-oriented thinking and working
Independent and confident way of working
Hands-on mentality
Communication and leadership skills and a winning and confident manner
Experience in staff management and promotion
Problem solver
