My client, a global business-to-business marketing public relations firm, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their newly established Shanghai office.

We are looking for a responsible, personable, and positive professional with entrepreneurial spirit, a confident presence and business style with at least four years of experience in public relations (preferably B2B PR) to execute strategic public relations programs and help support a fast-growing client base.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with other talented people in a creative, collaborative and fast-paced environment. Also, strong managerial and organizational skills combined with a down-to-earth and hands-on approach are needed.

Fluent English and Chinese, both writing and speaking, are required.

Qualifications include

- Minimum 4 years of PR agency experience

- Excellent writing skills required; technical writing experience or journalism a plus

- Aptitude for understanding technology-based businesses.

- Experience working with trade and business media, especially packaging, food and beverage, chemicals, plastics and life sciences in Asia Pacific, preferably in China, Japan, Korea

- Client and media relationship-building skills

- Willingness to travel across China or Asia Pacific

- Additional Asian language skills always useful

Responsibilities include:

- Serving as main point of contact with clients and media in China;

- building client relationships and providing strategic counsel on public relations initiatives in China.

- Writing and editing content for feature articles, testimonial stories, press
releases, websites, advertising, social media, and proposals

- Managing account teams across offices to service global clients in China

- Cultivating relationships with key Asian Pacific trade and business media to develop strong editorial coverage

- Working with colleagues around the globe and developing creative strategies and ideas for campaigns and/or programmes

The Manager will report to Senior Management. The position is available immediately.
