Admissions Coordinator - Augusta job - Kaplan - Augusta, ME

Position Summary

The Admissions Coordinator works for the Admissions Department by offering administrative support to complete enrollment files as well as managing various aspects of data entry. The Admissions Coordinator conducts all admissions activities with the highest integrity and business ethics while adhering to state, federal, and Kaplan, policies and regulations.


Key Job Responsibilities


Operate within federal and state regulations at all times.


Adhere to company Code of Conduct, policies and procedures.


Provide exceptional customer service to prospective, enrolled and current students.


Ensure collateral and other lobby materials are kept up to date.


Enter student Contact information and method of inquiry generation into database.


Review database generated reports to audit and ensure proper data entry.


Ensure timely distribution and redistribution of inquiries to Admissions Advisors.


Monitor timely and accurate usage of the database management system by Admissions Advisors.


Attend weekly student follow-up meetings and Provide updates on missing documents.


Mail out various letters and other communications to prospective, enrolled and current students as needed.


Assist with planning, execution and tracking of the campus events.


Run various reports from the database as needed.


Provide front desk coverage when needed.


Contribute to building a positive team spirit.


Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications


High school diploma or GED


< 1 year related experience


Adept in Microsoft Office.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Ability to communicate accurately and positively by telephone, email and other media to students and internal customers.


Ability to provide exemplary customer service with a wide variety of individuals who possess varying educational backgrounds and life experiences.


Ability to follow processes, work effectively on a team, and maintain a positive attitude.


Ability to quickly learn how to use a database management system.


Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines.


Time management skills.


Attention to detail, organized, mature and self-driven, desire to help others, enthusiastic and outgoing.


Positive attitude, strives for success.

Preferred Qualifications


Customer service and data entry experience preferred


Experience with customer service or database management system preferred.
