To support its rapidly growing business in China, the Company is currently seeking a China Marketing Manager.

Job Description


Reporting directly to the China Sales Director, the Marketing Manager is responsible for all aspects of developing & executing national marketing strategies:


– Responsible for the development and implementation of long- and short-term marketing and brand building strategies for the portfolio of brands in China.


– Participate as a founding member of the China Leadership team by providing input and leadership to influence the Company’s day-to-day operations, strategic development, business and portfolio strategies and special projects as necessary, and report on agreed-upon metrics to team.


– Lead the development of the brand strategies, and submit for approval country marketing strategies/plans via the regional business planning process.


– Identify and evaluate the potential of current / future opportunities in the market, including categories/brands, consumer trends/occasions, and media channels/platforms.


– Provide business oversight, guidance and input in the development and execution of creative campaigns and national promotions.


– Analyze current market and sales trends, and evaluate major competitor’s strengths, weaknesses, market share trends and products.


– In charge of brand identity/image management and stewardship in all aspects of communications.


– Responsible for sustainable improvement of the key consumer metrics within approved budgets


– Manage evaluation of performance/effectiveness of brand building activities executed in the market.

The Successful Applicant


Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline. At least 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in management, preferably in consumer healthcare, personal care, FMCG or similar categories.
A strong bias for action – and entrepreneurial spirit
Demonstrated ability in managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously
A real passion for teamwork with strong leadership & interpersonal skills
Experience or exposure working in a cross cultural or international environment would be helpful
Ability to build networks remotely
Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, oral and written
Strong analytical and presentation skills
Computer proficiency – Excel/ Word/PowerPoint
