Operations Solutions Associate job - athenahealth - Belfast, ME





The Operations Solutions Associate will work closely with leaders across Revenue Cycle (Collector) and Sales Teams to display and drive the comparative advantage of the Collector Product. This role will provide input into sales assessments for prospects in the Enterprise and Large Segment as well as conduct regular performance analytics for existing clients also in this segment. Specifically, to gain insight into operational opportunities based upon the market specialty of the organization in athenanet or the distinctiveness of the prospect’s model. The individual will be largely responsible for building and supporting scalable solutions that will drive performance and ROI. This position requires 25% travel.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Identify athena unique value where possible.

  • Assist in development of new product requirements that are critical to new client expectations

  • Independently create, lead, and execute business process design and re-engineering projects related to athenahealth’s internal service operations

  • Mine data and map existing workflows to identify opportunities for significant quality, cost, and service level improvement

  • Build and maintain project management plans and associated reporting mechanisms.

  • Monitor and communicate key project(s) deadlines and deliverable schedules to ensure that critical project milestones are met and tasks are completed on time

  • Create and document formal project documentation which includes system modifications and development needs required for achievement of business goals

  • Assist with the definition of policies, procedures, training and documentation requirements to support effective, well communicated and timely service changes

  • Effectively communicate and evangelize work efforts to peers and other departments

  • Track and recommend metrics to ensure high quality work product and identify opportunities for procedural improvement

  • Become an expert in regards to athenahealth’s processes and understand their context in relation to the broad healthcare industry


Qualifications

  • BS/BA required. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Operations experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills; including presentation skills. Excellent business writing.

  • Strong project management skills, timely and accurate reporting;

  • Experience in positions requiring the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to significant matters

  • Deep quantitative skills and an understanding of data usage for daily management and for analytics

  • Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity, and dedication

  • Ability to work collaboratively to get results

  • Organization and attention to Detail

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Drive

  • Flexibility and the ability to handle rapidly changing priorities as needed
