Transaction Resolution Analyst job - athenahealth - Belfast, ME





The Transaction Resolution Analyst is primarily responsible for researching the quality of posted insurance and patient remittance advice/explanation of benefits, and addressing both internal and external inquiries related to the quality of remittance processing for athenaNet BasicPlus and Collector clients.

The Transaction Resolution Analyst will report directly to the RTS Posting Supervisor.


Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:


  • Review payments and/or denials posted to determine whether errors have occurred

  • Research and understand payor and posting issues

  • Identify, document, and communicate existing and potential problems and trends in the quality of remittance processing

  • Compile information regarding errors for the RPO Posting Manager and, ultimately, vendor/payment posting specialists

  • Complete reports on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis

  • Resolve Sugar.com (CRM) cases and other internal posting requests

  • Resolve posting exception items on behalf of athena’s clients

  • Resolve unpostable items

  • Document client and product-specific posting procedures to ensure internal staff and vendor are provided with required training materials

  • Recommend process improvements to continually increase the accuracy rate

  • Increase client satisfaction and collections

  • Act as a liaison to the Client Services Center and Collector Services

  • Other duties as assigned by the RPO Posting Manager.
