Cancer Registry Assistant job - MaineGeneral Health - Augusta, ME





Works with Cancer Registrars to ensure smooth workflow of cancer registry operations. Performs clerical duties such as data entry and filing. Responsible for Tumor Board meeting coordination including agenda compilation, distribution and minutes.

Qualifications/Competencies :
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience with at least 2 years being in the medical field (i.e. medical secretary, transcriptionist or medical assistant).

High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); Associate’s degree preferred .

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications .

Must have the ability to analyze and interpret data.

Must be detail-oriented .

Must be able to work independently.

Must have strong office skills.

Must have the ability to multi-task.

Must have strong organizational skills.
