Contract Length: One Year


We have been asked to recruit English teachers for a number of schools in the Hubei Province area of China. The best thing about these English teacher roles is no teaching experience is necessary. All they require is that you are a university graduate in any discipline.


This is a fantastic opportunity for any English teacher who loves a sense of adventure and would love to experience a new culture.


Location:Xiangyang City/Hubei Province


Xiangyang is a beautiful city in the northwestern Hubei province of China. It was formed from two ancient cities, Xiangyang and Fancheng. Xiangyang is divided by the Han River, which runs through its heart and divides the city north-south.


What remains of old Xianyang is located south of the Han River and contains one of the oldest still-intact city walls in China while Fancheng was located to the north of the Han River. Both cities served prominent historical roles in both the Ancient and Pre-Modern Periods of Chinese history.


Today, the city is, after the capital Wuhan, the second largest in the province, located about halfway between Wuhan and Xi’an. Its built-up area made is up of 3 urban districts which have about 2 million inhabitants while the whole municipality contains approximately 5.5 million people.


Places of attraction include the Han River area, Longzhong scenic area, Xiangyang Castle with Green Shadow Wall, Great Virtue Temple and the Huchang canal. We also have an airport so you can arrive at our city in comfort.


The Ideal Person for The English Teacher Roles


We are seeking lively, vibrant and friendly English Speakers to join us ASAP for a start as early as August 2015. We will continue recruiting all through the summer of 2015. You will be teaching a range of children and young adults. The unique point about this role is that you do not have to be a qualified English teacher.


We value people who are warm and friendly and are good at interacting with other people. All we ask is that you engage with our children and young adults so that they get used to the English way of speech. To make everything easy for you we have prepared all the course materials. All you need to do is go through all all the materials with our students. It is as easy as ABC.


You will focus on conversational English as our experience has shown that this is the best way that our students learn. In addition you will under no pressure because all our classes are carried out in a serene and easygoing atmosphere. We welcome both qualified teachers and graduate English speakers with no teaching experience. You need to have at least a University degree.


Job Description


  • 24 -25 hours per week (plus 2 – 3 hours of office work per week)

  • Flexible rest days which gives you the chance to explore our lovely city and the surrounding areas

  • Focus on conversational English

  • Teach English from our prepared course materials

Requirements


  • You must at least as a minimum requirement have a University degree.

  • Working experience in your field is welcomed but not essential.

  • 1 Year contracts = 10,000 RMB to 13,500 RMB a month minimum + assistance finding and choosing your own accommodation.

  • Chinese teacher to help you in each class.

  • 8000 RMB bonus at the end of your one year if 80 per cent of the students register for the next year.
