Job Description for Warehouse Supervisor

Title of Position: Warehouse/Packing Supervisor

Reports to: Director of Operations
Overall Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean and efficient physical operation for receiving, packing, and shipping products within the Crown O’Maine warehouse. Primary responsibility for carrying our food safety program and documentation, as designed by designated Food Safety Specialist. Supervising warehouse staff.
Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Oversee and maintain food safe environment, including personnel adherence to worker health and hygiene, food safety documentation, and proper cold-chain and food handling.


• Assign and oversee staff leads on packing, daily flow, and receiving, working with Sales Coordinator and operational team.


• Oversee proper stocking and rotation of products, and disposal of expired or shrink products.


• Fill orders and maintain good communication with directors related to overstock and under-stocked items.


• Oversee proper packing and pallet stacking/wrapping procedures.


• Manage warehouse supplies and budget with Director of Operations.


• Ensure end of shift transfer of information and paperwork; return all paperwork (sales orders, invoices, purchase orders, etc.) to proper locations.


• Participate in office activities as time allows, including invoicing, sales order entry, taking phone calls, and calling for shorts and out of stocks.

Term of Employment:
Year Round

Qualifications:

• Experience in a warehouse environment.


• Capable of supervising others and working independently when no assistance is needed.


• Must have a driver’s license.


• Must be able to lift 50# repetitively throughout day.


• Must be proficient and comfortable with relevant technology, including email, internet, Word, Excel, and Quickbooks.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 /hour

Required experience:

• Warehouse and Supervisory Experience a plus: 2 years

Required education:

• High school or equivalent
