Redstone Commodity Search are working with an international trading house seeking a base metal traffic operator in their Shanghai office.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Responsible for the smooth operation of the shipping and freight operations in the Asian market


• Communicate with suppliers and receivers to fulfil the requirements of the business


• Arrange contracts and documentation to accompany the shipped product and supporting the trading team in negotiations and contracts


• Work closely with the accounting/finance department as well as other back office departments to deliver accurate and punctual documentation


• Reports into the Head of Operations

Key Qualifications / Experience

• min. 3-4 years’ experience in traffic operations – knowledge of Korean/Indonesian/Chinese market preferred


• Advanced understanding of the Asian base metals space, particularly aluminium, copper and cobalt/zinc and minor metals


• Experience in working with financial and accounting departments


• An excellent level of maths/accounting knowledge


• Located in Shanghai, China or happy to relocate
