This unique opportunity even allows you to partake in traditional Chinese activities such as kung fu and playing classical Chinese instruments with students; free accommodation is also part of the package.

Lessons are no longer than 45 minutes and you will work no more than 20 hours per week as the aim is to make the experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.

Ideally, you would be able to commit from September to July with a two month break occurring in January and February, where you would be free to either travel around China or return home before the second term begins. However, one term contracts are also available, should that best suit you.

Salary is paid on a monthly basis and would amount to between 6,000 RMB and 9,000 RMB per month. This equates to £675 to £1,010 per month, which, when considering that accommodation is free, is a very reasonable amount to live on in China.

You will need to be an enthusiastic, fluent English speaker who’s able to both project your voice and communicate clearly. In addition, you will need to be a patient listener and able to manage a class of up to 50 exuberant but well behaved students.

Applicants would need to hold a DBS Disclosure that’s registered on the Update Service before flying to China.

We appreciate that upon reading this, you may have a variety of questions, so please feel free to make contact with us as there will undoubtedly be plenty to speak about.

If you feel that this is a challenge that is too difficult to turn down and is exactly what you are looking for in the next stage of your career, please do not hesitate to contact Rob Davies at Oak Careers.
