Hydro Regulatory Coordinator - Kleinschmidt Group - Pittsfield, ME
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum BA/BS Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in regulatory consulting, or work with a utility or regulatory agency
Possess knowledge of hydroelectric operations, FERC processes and regulatory compliance for hydroelectric, water (e.g. irrigation systems) and other energy projects,
Experience with Environmental policy and planning
Local, state, tribal and federal permitting
Demonstrated abilities to:
develop strategies for addressing regulatory and resource issues
prepare appropriate scope and budgets to address client requests
manage multiple medium-sized projects including staffing, schedules, budgets and scopes
work effectively as a member of a geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary team
proficiency with commonly available software such as Microsoft Office products
Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills, including interaction with clients and public, state and federal resource agency and non-governmental organization stakeholders.
Ability to mentor and develop entry-level technical staff
Requirements:
Some travel will be required
Current authorization to work in the United States
Current Driver’s License
Passport or the ability to get a passport
