Clinicals Operations Analyst - athenahealth - Belfast, ME



Position Overview:
The goal of the Clinicals team is to create an electronic version of a paper document and delivering it to the intended provider or medical office staff. This electronic product creates an efficient way for providers to review patient information, thus allowing for more time to be focused on patient care. A Clinical Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring all documentation is routed into the patient chart with as much information identified from the document as possible. Responsibilities include the accurate data entry of information, tying of open orders, confirmation of fax status with external vendors, and the accurate quality analysis of the completed product. All processed are reviewed with high attention to quality through the use of multiple internal audits.

Responsibilities:


  • Categorize and data enter pertinent clinical information; this includes but is not limited to lab results, prescription renewals and clinical summary reports

  • Perform Quality Assurance on data entered by overseas operations staff

  • Populate and maintain clinical tables

  • Assist with usability testing and review of new functionality from both a client and service operation perspective

  • Conduct analyses as needed

  • Other duties as necessary to help maintain and improve an emerging product


Qualifications:

  • The Clinical Product Analyst should possess previous experience using analytical and decision-making skills

  • Focus on detail

  • Excellent writing skills

  • A positive attitude, and a healthy sense of humor

  • (S)he must be comfortable with a cycle of on-going product development, where hypotheses are made, tested, and discarded as necessary

  • Experience with athenaNet is a plus.

Required of All Employees of the Clinicals Department :

  • Understanding of the various interdependencies between operations and technology both internal and external

  • Understanding of the different product types and service offerings

  • Awareness of internal operations and their support of and service to clients

  • Understanding of the following Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

  • Strong ability to identify potential issues and participate in their resolution; Problem solving skills; Strong time management skills. Understanding of physician practice operations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

This Clinicals Product Analyst will be paid on an hourly basis , plus a potential annual bonus driven primarily by the success of the department. This position will earn an hourly wage, plus a potential bonus driven by individual, department and company success.
