High-Paid EFL & Academic Subject Head Teacher - Princeton Coach - China, ME

Responsibilities

The Head Teacher assumes both a program leadership and teaching roles. Aside from being qualified to teach English, ideally this teacher can teach subjects like Business, Social Science or IT.

Program & Teacher Management

• Providing academic leadership


• Work together with Center management in implementing systems, procedures and best practice


• Lead and train teachers in the GAC curriculum and procedures; hold staff meetings


• Supervise teacher-created resources


• On-going teacher evaluations, including class observations


• Timetabling of classes and teaching staff

Coordination with the GAC

• Compliance with GAC Assessment and Academic Records requirements


• Moderation of student assessment, including cross marking of student scripts


• Liaising with and reporting to GAC’s regional managers

Working with external parties

• Articulate the GAC program to prospective parents and students, if needed


• Meeting with parents on student progress (together with a bilingual assistant)

Responsibilities of Subject Teaching:

• Delivering of teaching modules in accordance to the GAC syllabus


• Preparing for classes and students for assessment


• Marking assessment work with appropriate comments


• Selecting a sample of 10% of each cohort’s work in assessable activities for

moderation purposes

• Developing teacher-based resources and tests, if required


• Preparing student reports
