About Our Project:
The Chinese government is making numerous efforts to promote alternative forms of vehicle propulsion. Therefore, China is also industrial politically motivated and engaged in the field of electro mobility. The cooperation between Germany and China in the field of electro mobility has been intensified in recent years, aiming to create a favourable substantive and strategic framework for the successful development of electric mobility in order to contribute to dealing with climate, environmental and transport problems.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) for the cooperation on E-Mobility was signed during the Hannover Fair in Germany in April 2012. Both sides intend to boost sustained and sound development in their respective Electric Vehicle industries by facilitating exchange and encouraging cooperation in Electric Vehicle technologies, production and market development; Cooperation on standardisation and norms in the field of E-Mobility is part of the MoU. Based on this, in bilateral consultations between BMWi and MIIT it was agreed to compare the Chinese and German Roadmaps on EV standardization to identify areas for cooperation and improvements in both countries.
In December 2013 the BMWi commissioned the GIZ to implement the project „Sino-German Cooperation on Electro-Mobility“.The aim is to support the BMWi through advising on the contextual conception and concrete implementation of the cooperation with the Chinese political partners.
