Project Management Executive Petrochem / Oil / Gas / Chemical -- GEE Engineering Consulting Company Shanghai -- Shanghai

Responsibilities:
A major international Engineering and Project Management Company, with China country office based in Shanghai, requires a Project Management Executive to oversee the operations management of all the company's major industrial projects throughout China in the Petrochem/ Oil/ Gas/ Chemical/ Pharmeucutical.

Responsible for operations of whole company throughout China, including:
a) the Project Dept including projects, project managers and project directors.
b) the ECP Dept including estimation, cost, planning, scheduling.
c) the Procurement Dept.
d) Proposals.
Highly responsible position, effectively no 2 in the company of several hundred personnel. Reports directly to the General Manager. Project stages managed by Project Managers include concept, FEED, design, procurement, construction, commissioning. Important responsibility for client liaison, business development, expansion of operations, cost management, quality management, discipline management, time control, company reporting.
Projects are in the oil/gas, petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Requirements:
Background and Experience
We are looking for a professional manager with at least 25 years related experience, including good proven experience as an Operations Manager. At least 10 years in Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas on-shore or off-shore, Pharmaceutical industries, including at least 4 years experience as Operations Manager and at least six years experience working for an international engineering company or project management company.
University degree in Process/ Chemical Engineering preferred plus good understanding of processing requirements in the above industries.

Contract
3 year contract, based in Shanghai, China. This is a home office position and contract renewal will normally be offered at contract conclusion, subject to performance review.

Background and Requirements
Must be a good team motivator able to coordinate and optimize the inputs of sub-managers to produce excellent results. Excellent communication and management skills are required.
