Business
The mission of the Sr. Controller is to deliver valued solutions to the Large Enterprise and Corporate Account customers including China State Owned Enterprises, to drive revenue, share, and loyalty / customer satisfaction for Microsoft and Microsoft technologies.
Scope
The Sr. Controller is responsible for business performance management, financial leadership to grow our EPG business profitably and business insight in Enterprise Commercial customers. He or she accounts China EPG GM as business partner.
Core Responsibilities
Business Insight:
Providing financial leadership to profitably grow the China EPG business by driving insight and highlighting business opportunities (e.g. revenue growth, cost efficiencies, integrated solution offers) across all parts of the business, resulting in scorecard achievement. Driving corrective action to meet bottom line commitments where needed.
Leading financial performance management activities / infrastructure development for the subsidiary, through active involvement in the implementation and execution of the Rhythm of the Business (ROB).
Being a key contributor to the China EPG Leadership team agenda and taking the finance leadership of the China strategy initiatives for the EPG business growth in China
Being a key partner for the China EPG segment GM and their staff and the regional sales teams.
Driving local process improvement and business insight initiatives. Contributing and supporting worldwide initiatives.
Establishing a strong partnership with the Corp EPG Finance teams, Asia time zone leads and the Regional Operations Teams.
Business Excellence:
Lead the local financial processes pertaining to the budget, midyear, and strategic planning processes.
Drive an effective rhythm of the business (ROB) and business performance reviews, from MYR to Planning
Drive forecast accuracy through solid forecasting model and process.
Execute financial processes with quality and accuracy, improve business productivity and operations.
Provide strong finance support and analysis to China EPG Business, including variance and trend analysis with in-depth identifications of root causes on the status of business. Drive on improvement of CM in all aspects.
Ensure the compliance to GAAP and MAP and sufficient internal control
Provide other financial support or co-ordination to the business and operation, such as incentive scheme, quota setting, etc.
Personal Leadership:
Lead the EPG finance team including support staff (contractors) to achieve the EPG business goals outlined above
Actively participate in broader finance team activities and support to drive the collaborative, fun and team working culture
Own the career development and succession planning of his/her team
Support the finance director in driving people agenda
Education and Qualifications:
University education, degree in finance and/or MBA preferred
Experience Level:
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial finance and accounting
Minimum 3 years in managerial positions
Experience in IT or Services companies and channel operations
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Fluent in English and Chinese, both written and oral
Good inter-personal skills
Excellent analytical skills
Strong user of Microsoft Office
Self-motivated and energetic, willing to contribute
Results oriented
