Search Technology Center Asia (STCA)

STCA was founded in year 2005 and is now starting the second “Five-Year Plan” after the merge with the Ads Platform Center in 2011. STCA is now focusing on the following areas: the continuous exploration of Bing search technology; the technical innovation of online advertisement services; the development of the MSN social platform; and the development of mobile search applications. Responsibilities:

As an SDE II, you’ll be a technical lead owning a key feature design and implementation on Behavioral Targeting Modeling UX and business logics, or data processing pipeline. In order to succeed in this role, you will need very strong design and technical skills on developing web applications and tools; technical knowhow on creating clean and extensible object models and middle tier components to support rich clients as well as large scale and distributed high performance backend platform components; experience in collaborating across groups and gaining support across functional boundaries.

Qualifications:

1. At least 4 years of software development with full release cycles of major software products; demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and collaboration across different development groups; "Lead by example" attitude and passion about shipping high quality products.

2. Proven ability to design with Microsoft technologies, and make sound trade-offs without compromising quality and schedule, write highly detailed and quality-driven technical specifications.

3. Strong coding and debugging skills. Proficiency in C++ is required. Proficiency in C#/.Net technologies and experience in SQL Server/Analysis Service is a big plus.

4. A BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
