Patient Accounts Coordinator job - MaineGeneral Health - Augusta, ME

This position is located at GrayBirch

Ensures all claims are billed and followed up upon timely. Makes sure all payments are accurate, if not following up on those. Completes eligibility verification ensuring understanding of clinical staff of payment responsibilities. Works closely with social services to aide in completion of Mainecare applications.

Qualifications/Competencies:

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED)


• Technical training beyond high school or other specialized training


• Two years prior experience in related work preferably in a health care setting preferred


• Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications


• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations for SNF as well as payment source requirements.


• Strong communication and organizational skills.


• Knowledge of third party reimbursement
