English Literature Teachers Needed for China

English Literature Teachers Needed for China

Chinese Public Schools
Hanghzou / Zhejiang Province
Timetable: 15 – 20 hours teaching time a week
Contract: 1 year rolling contracts
Start: October 2015
Benefits: free accommodation, free health insurance, flight reimbursement + £650-£1000 monthly salary

Are you a native English speaker with a Bachelor’s degree or higher? Are you a qualified English Lit. teacher in an English-speaking country? Do you have at least 2 year’s teaching experience? Are you looking for an exciting experience in a different culture whilst also enjoying decent earnings? Then this opportunity could be for you

What are we looking for?

We are looking for bright, articulate graduates with excellent written and verbal English skills to work in China. The majority of our clients are based around Hanghzou city in the Zhejiang province. This is a large, young, clean and vibrant city of 8 million people just 1 hour south of Shanghai. There is a large ex-pat community and excellent nightlife. The monthly salary of £1500 -£1700 will provide you with plenty of disposable income on top of your accommodation and health insurance.
We need qualified cookery/food tech teachers (from any English speaking country) with at least 2 years teaching experience.
Please note: you do not need any knowledge of the Chinese language. Any knowledge would be desirable, but is not essential

What will you be doing?

You will teach English Literature to primary and/or secondary aged children in a Chinese public school. Your job will be funded by the Chinese government. You will teach 15 – 20 hours a week. We have vacancies with primary schools (aged 6- 12), secondary schools (aged 12 – 16) and further education colleges (aged 16 – 20). Obviously, the level of the children’s English varies depending on how old they are. The initial contract will be for 1 year, though they would like people to extend these if they do well.

We need people available to start ideally in October 2015. The schools will pay for your accommodation and health insurance. Candidates will need to pay for their own flights out to China, which will be reimbursed at the end of the contract

Offers will only be made to those with satisfactory references, valid qualifications and clean DBS checks

Skype Interviews will take place in as soon as possible with a view to sending out contracts beginning of October.

If you do have the relevant requirements and would like to be considered for this opportunity please send through your CV, or call Phil at Connaught for more information on .
