Scheduler - Emdeon - Augusta, ME
The Scheduler provides direct scheduling support using a documented scheduling process by interfacing with field staff and the client, making appointments and coordinating complex activities between departments and outside parties. Work is generally of a critical or confidential nature, requiring a broad knowledge of departmental and company practices, policies, programs, and product line. The Scheduler answers mail, phone calls, and inquiries, routing correspondence to the appropriate person if necessary. The Scheduler composes, prepares, edits, and proofreads letters, reports, and other correspondence using intermediate to advanced knowledge of software packages for word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphics, and desktop publishing applications. The Scheduler provides complex administrative support for one or more departments or administrative units and may provide guidance or work leadership to lower level clerical or administrative staff. The organization depends on this person’s problem solving/analysis skills and progressively challenging administrative experience. • Minimum of 3-5 years progressively challenging admin experience • Previous healthcare scheduling a plus • Working knowledge of healthcare information systems • Critical thinking skills • Great organization • Proficiency at executing when experiencing multiple competing priorities • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; excellent phone/email/grammar/spelling • Customer/Client Focus • The ability to build relationships across the organization and collaborate as necessary to accomplish goals • Self-starter • Willingness to coach/train • Problem Solving/Analysis • Solution-oriented • Maintain SME level industry and product knowledge • Technical Capacity • Intermediate-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office |
