Specialty Asian Restaurant Supervisor - Maryland Live! Casino - Hanover, MD

SCOPE AND MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To supervise a shift team and be responsible and accountable for administration, operation and the direct management of the Asian Venue.

RESPONSIBLITIES:
Works in collaboration with Leadership team to pull through tactics that focuses the restaurant team to enhance the customer's restaurant experience to further the customer's overall gaming experience. Development of staff to include training, interviewing for hires, conducts disciplinary counseling and performance evaluations. Executes venue operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned. Follows operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift. Handles the retrieving of change from banks, inventory controls, F & B supervisory system transactions [voids, disputes, etc.] Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team. Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Review payroll and all KRONOS missed punches, PTO, etc. Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with manager to find new, creative and effective methods of recognition. Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment that is in line with business volumes and needs. Adjust staffing accordingly and manage daily call-outs and volume levels. Create daily/shift floor charts and track server rotations.
Minimum Requirements

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Must be 21 years of age or older. Three to five years’ experience in restaurant management and/or services. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license for the position as required by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to analyze and interpret restaurant operational results. Ability to solve complex problems. Knowledge of sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulations. Ability to perform duties under pressure. A variety of task and deadlines requires irregular work schedule. Ability to perform in an interruptive environment. Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner. Ability to communicate in English and fluency in either Chinese or Vietnamese. Other duties as assigned.
