Lab Assistant I job - MaineGeneral Health - Augusta, ME
Minimum 1 year experience preferred
Collects blood specimens for testing, as ordered by physicians, following established procedures and standards. Performs a variety of computer terminal operations, customer inquiry telephone services and receptionist duties. Receives, processes and handles specimens according to established procedures. Provides age-specific care as required.
Qualifications/Competencies
Valid Driver’s license required.
PBT(ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
BLS certification is required within 3 months of hire.
High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) preferred. Completion of course in health care and/or clerical/secretarial field preferred. Up to 1 year of experience preferred. Computer literacy and w ord processing preferred.
