[Full-time] Communications and Project Management Internship, Shanghai at German Chamber of Commerce
The German Chamber of Commerce in China | Shanghai is the representative organization for German companies in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Henan and Hubei. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a full time intern available to start in September for a period of 3-6 months.
Communications and Project Management Internship
In this role, you will support our Shanghai Chamber Team in all communications projects. This includes primarily assisting in:
the production of the Chamber’s China-wide business magazine German Chamber Ticker and other publications (generating story ideas, research, drafting texts and assisting with proofreading and copyediting)
the coordination of the Chamber’s Corporate Social Responsibility project (including event preparation, research, preparing protocols)
Newsletter production
PR, media and press work
Other duties will include taking minutes, general research and analytical work and attending important Chamber events, such as the monthly Chamber Meetings.

Requirements/Qualifications:
• Student at a Chinese University (X Visa) with the permission of the university to carry out an internship
• Excellent command of both German (native speaker) and English (native or near-native level), Chinese is a plus
• Bachelor Degree preferred (International Relations, International Business, Journalism, Marketing, Communications…)
• Strong command of the written word (journalism or research experience preferred)
• Strong interest in current affairs and China business issues
• Cultural sensitivity and eagerness to work in an international environment
• Solid MS Office skills a must
• Well organized and extremely detail-oriented
