What are we looking for?

We are looking for bright, articulate graduates with excellent written and verbal English skills to work in China. The majority of our clients are based around Hanghzou city in the Zhejiang province. This is a large, young, clean and vibrant city of 8 million people just 1 hour south of Shanghai. There is a large ex-pat community and excellent nightlife. The monthly salary of £650 -£1000 will provide you with plenty of disposable income on top of your accommodation and health insurance. We need candidates with music degrees (or similar) with at least 1 year experience as a music teacher. Qualified teachers are desirable but not essential
Please note: you do not need any knowledge of the Chinese language. Any knowledge would be desirable, but is not essential

What will you be doing?

You will teach music to classes of 30 – 45 in Chinese public schools. We are recruiting for both primary schools ( 6- 12) and secondary schools (12 – 18). You will teach 15 – 20 hours a week and instruct students in vocal music and chorus whilst also being proficient in playing the piano. You will prepare and mark the music assessment for the students. Candidates will need to pay for their own flights out to China, which will be reimbursed
Important: candidates also need to organise and pay for their own working VISA through the Chinese Embassy
Contracts will be for 1 year initially but can easily be extended
