Specialist Boutique Recruitment Consultancy with offices in APAC, SEA, Far East and the UK are looking for a Mandarin speaking hands-on Billing / Branch Manager / Team Leader from within the Recruitment industry to head their Shanghai operation.
Reporting remotely to the MD who is based outside of mainland China you will focus on managing and developing the SHANGHAI based team of Technical Recruiters of which the headcount is to treble in size under your control. Your task is to stabilize, drive forward & develop a Technical recruitment business that has been operating in to the region for over 6 years within the Construction, Engineering, Architecture and Development Finance Recruitment markets placing mid to senior level personnel across the region.
This company’s model is a contingent niche boutique operating at the high-end market focused on Permanent placements with some retained search business but consistently using all methodologies of candidate and client attraction in a consultative, search style approach.
Once Shanghai is to where it should be, your own career development will fall in to place as you move from Branch to Country Manager and expand the company’s presence by opening in other major cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen & Guangzhou.
ABOUT YOU:
To apply you must have 'Recruitment Industry experience AND possess bi-lingual language skills (Mandarin and English) with a good understanding of the local region (Shanghai / China)
This role requires a hands-on billing Manager (ideally with experience of P & L management but not essential) with team leadership skills who can give input operationally and strategically to drive the business forward.
A lead by example manger who uses their strong leadership qualities to motivate and encourage a team to drive themselves, a manager who is able to create a motivated, proactive environment that works with a sense of urgency and is able to teach the team to feel confident to use their own initiative.
Sector experience isn’t important - ideally you will have Technical Recruitment experience but managers from other verticals such as Sales & Marketing, HR, IT, or Engineering, Professional Services Recruitment can also apply - its more about a solid understanding of recruitment, its full cycle & team leadership skills being the main priorities.
A manager who is trustworthy, reliable, energetic, able to grow a stand alone business, is passionate about Recruitment as well as their own career and ready for a challenge should describe you!
PACKAGE:
A basic around 70k RMB per month plus commission / bonus / bens etc
