Shanghai is amazingly convenient (and often times a pleasantly cheap) starting point for travel to other countries. So many countries that seemed like a major trek or a serious investment are now on your doorstep. Japan, Vietnanam, the Philippines or Thailand, all are only a few hours by plane and can be cost effective if booked during sales or off seasons. Even India and Australia are much more doable from Shanghai than from anywhere in the Western world (or even many Chinese cities). World travellers, unite!

Our client’s Cambridge International Centre in Shanghai currently requires a French Teacher with experience teaching the British/Irish curriculum to begin ASAP.

Contract term: One academic year, renewable

Experience / Skills required

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching A-Level French.


• Bachelor Degree or higher in respective subject


• A PGCE would give a distinct advantage


• Ability to work well within a team


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
