Job Description

Responsibilities

You will be working in a cohesive legal team providing legal support to company’s business groups in China, on a range of issues including commercial legal support, compliance management, employment issues, litigation issues with the support of your line manager. So you need to communicate and provide prompt and sound legal advice to senior management in the traditional or digital media group, trading group, including business directors and finance directors. And you will also be involved in structuring commercial contracts and providing strategic advice on term negotiations and will be required to provide proactive legal advice to the traditional or digital media/trading group on client contracts and vendor contracts, therefore a keen interest in learning the business and a sharp focus to getting the right terms to get the deal done without compromising integrity and risk is necessary. What’s more, you will also be request to occasionally manage IP matters in China in relation to the business group that is within his responsibility and liaise with the global Intellectual Property lawyer to protect company’s intellectual property rights in China.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need around 5-8 years legal experience with at least 3 years in foreign legal firm. You need to communicate well, with good persuasive and negotiations and drafting skills. If you have some IP experience before will be a plus. And been holding a Chinese bar for at least 3 years and effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin is a must.
